At Team Athey & Remarkable Property Management, we try to look for a silver lining in every storm cloud. But as most people this past March, we had no idea just what kind of thunderstorm was blowing our way. Now that the quarantine is past we wanted to take a moment to reflect on a few positive things that came our way during this highly stressful time.
I’m Suzanne Athey, the founder of Team Athey & Remarkable Property Management and I imagine for years to come we will be asking each other—“What did you do during the Covid-19 Quarantine?” And we will be surprised by the variety of answers we receive.
For instance, the Team Athey members were shocked beyond belief that after 40 plus years of marriage and two children, I’d finally learned how to cook. Yes, the quiet solitude of quarantine brought out my inner domestic goddess.
To get started, I decided to try out a couple of “meal makers”, Hello Fresh and Home Chef. They were having a no obligation promotion so I decided I had nothing to lose. Except maybe one of my fingers if I wasn’t careful using my new chopping board. Just joking. No one was harmed during the making of my cooking video. (I forgot to mention, my husband was so excited he videoed my first endeavor to show our grown kids and grandkids.)
Other Team Athey members were busy during this time of enforced isolation as well. From painting built-ins to daily baking, puzzles, gardening, and more, we got our to-do lists and spring cleaning done. In fact, one team member started a new hobby (crocheting) and another gained the “Quarantine 15 Pounds”. (Not from my baking of course.)
Please take a moment and tell us what you learned during the Covid-19 Quarantine. We’d be interested to know what you did when you had the time to do anything you wanted.
